In the summer of 2014, one of McLean's friends purchased a Black Magic Pocket camera. Eager to shoot something he approached McLean in search of a project.
​
Over the next two weeks McLean wrote the script for As It's Remembered, a Feature Film about a girl who's boyfriend is murdered. She then devises a way to undo the past, but it may cause her to lose her sanity.
​
One month later they made the film, shooting for just one week in Los Angeles.
